FEATURES – WORKOUT MODE

Create & name your own workouts
Can determine all the following for each workout
• Name of each technique (can choose from default list or create own names)
• Number of hits or seconds for each technique (can mix hits intervals with seconds intervals in the same workout)
• Order of techniques (can change at any time)
• Number of techniques
• The number of seconds rest between each technique (minimum of 5)
• Created workouts can be saved for future use and comparisons.
• Can modify Default and saved workouts to replace or complement the original. You must separately save and name the new workout. No new workout name and saving is required if only the rest period is changed.
• Can create Custom, Speed Shot, or Burn Out workouts
• Workouts provide the base for all scoring comparisons.
• Workouts can be placed in Herman Programmer and downloaded to Herman.
2. Create or change the athlete profile for each workout. In this profile you can decide the desired audio, the type of feedback, and what you want to compete against – your own previous, best, or average score or another athlete’s previous, best, or average.
3. Shows graph of each impact and to improve viewing, automatically scales the graph to match actual score range.
4. Displays the current score of each impact in real time.
5. Displays a running update of the number of hits, maximum hit, and average hit for each technique interval. Also shows the remaining time or number of hits within that technique interval.
6. Displays the comparison score (best, prior, average) for each technique of the workout and graphically shows the progress against this score.
7. Calculates and displays the percentage above or below the comparative for each technique interval and displays the corresponding feedback text. If desired, audio feedback is also presented after each technique.
8. Displays the listing of every technique interval within that workout including the earned scores and feedback for each interval when it’s completed. Scores that beat the target are displayed in green while scores under the target are displayed in red.
9. Provides audio and visual countdowns to start the technique interval. Countdowns between intervals are selected on the workout screen for desired rest periods. Intervals start with the first impact.
10. Provides audio and visual countdowns in number of hits or seconds remaining in the technique interval. Also displays this information on the bottom of the screen.
11. Provides full graphic snapshot of the full interval when it’s completed.
12. Permits pausing an interval if necessary. The workout clock continues to run.
13. Permits quitting a workout if necessary.
14. Tracks the total amount of time for the total workout from the first impact until the last.
15. Tracks the amount of active and rest time within the total workout. Active time starts with the first impact of each interval and ends with the last impact. The rest time starts after the last impact and ends with the first impact of the next interval and repeats this process until the workout is completed.
16. Displays the name of the current technique and interval duration at the top of the page, and displays the name of the next technique within the workout and the programmed duration of the interval for that technique at the bottom of the page.
17. At the end of the workout, provides current and prior scores for the total workout and each technique and provides percentage change and audio feedback corresponding to the percentage above or below the selected comparative score.
18. Auto saves each interval in case of a computer crash so all but the current interval is saved and can be restored.
19. Saves the workout results for reference & future use. You can review your workout history by technique and total workout in a color-coded graph that shows the chronological progression with the score achieved in each workout. Feedback percentage and text is based on your average score for each technique and workout.
20. Can return to the last technique’s summary screen from the Results page. And can return to the last workout results page from the home screen.
21. Prints any screen.
FEATURES – COMPETITION MODE

o Number of techniques
o Whether to run competition in Custom, Speed Shot, or Burn Out mode
• Save an almost unlimited number of workouts for future use
• Modify saved workouts to replace or complement original
2. Can either name each competitor before they compete or have the workout advance automatically from one numbered competitor to the next, numerically identifying each competitor. In Auto-Advance mode, input the number of seconds between each competitor (minimum of 5 seconds)
3. Shows graph of each impact and to improve viewing, automatically scales the graph to match actual score range.
4. Displays the current score of each impact in real time.
5. Displays a running update of the number of hits, maximum hit, and average hit for each technique interval. Also shows the remaining time or number of hits within that technique interval.
6. Displays a running update of the total score for the competition.
7. Displays the score needed to assume first place at that point in the competition. This score counts down with each impact.
8. Displays the rankings of all the competitors and where the current athlete stands at that point of all completed intervals.
9. Calculates and displays the percentage above or below the rolling average of all prior competitors for each technique interval and displays the corresponding feedback text. If desired, audio feedback is also presented after the last technique interval.

19. Auto saves each interval in case of a computer crash so all but the current interval is saved and can be restored.
20. Can save the competition results for reference or future use. Program always asks if you want to save the competition when you press the End button. The last competition is automatically saved until a new competition starts.
21. Can load the last competition and re-start it with a new competitor.
22. Can open a saved competition and re-start it with new competitors.
23. Displays a time stamp for each competitor to permit multiple uses of the same name and multiple attempts by the same person.
24. Can return to the last competitor’s summary screen from the Results page.
25. Prints any screen.
26. Displays the current competitor’s score in yellow compared to the scores in white of the prior competitors.
27. Can change the threshold level at any time to match the competitors’ skills
28. Can select Mild or Harsh feedback text and audio for the competition.
FEATURES - ATHLETE PROFILES
You determine how Herman guides you through your workouts or workout competitions. You can change the profile at any time before beginning a workout or competition. The profile is tied to that specific workout. You have to create a profile for each workout. This involves confirming or changing the default settings.

FEATURES – SPEED SHOT
Speed Shot calculates the time from the audio and visual prompt to the point of impact, the force of that impact, and calculates a Speed Shot score by dividing the power by the time. The faster and more powerful a striker, the better the score.
• Speed Shot randomly prompts a reaction every 1 to 5 seconds.
• Both the power score and Speed Shot score are displayed
• The power score is graphed
• Can customize Speed Shot workouts for number and types of techniques
• All techniques are single hits in Speed Shot.
• Can repeat techniques as much as desired.
• Can input the time period between each technique (minimum of 5 seconds).
FEATURES – BURN OUT
The Burn Out mode reduces the recoil period after each impact. The normal 400ms recoil period reduces the chances of a false hit. In Burn Out, the recoil period is reduced to 230ms. .
• Burn Out is designed strictly for speed drills or using the speed bag.
• Burn Out should not be used with power techniques.
• Can customize the Burn Out workouts for number and types of techniques
• Can decide to do Burn Out workout by time or number of hits.
• Can input the rest period between each technique (minimum of 5 seconds).
