HERMAN BASEBALL & SOFTBALL

Herman can work alone or with coaches to train baseball and softball players in many ways for all skill levels. Herman's objective power and speed measurements and immediate feedback create an atmosphere of fun competition and focused concentration.

For all players, when a wireless or wired sensor is attached to the HITS sports target, or a commercial sports tarp or net, Herman measures the power and accuracy of pitches, throws, and hits. Best Shot, scores reflect the power and accuracy of a single attempt. With Speed Shot , reaction time and bat speed are also important in earning a good score.

More serious players can follow the hitting, pitching, and hitting drills Herman includes or create their own in My Herman for a thorough training session. A sensor can be attached to different areas of a target for accuracy drills and to gloves for live action measurements.

Herman options, including multiple sensors, wireless sensors, graphic plotting, My Herman score tracking, and batting cage set-ups are designed for coaches and the most sophisticated players.

For hitting, the player is prompted by Herman to hit either soft toss or off a tee into the HITS Sports target and net, a regular catch net or tarp. The sensor attached to the back of the HITS target, net, or tarp records the power of the impact. Herman provides immediate feedback to the player at the end of each interval comparing the total power score against the player's last or best session.  With My Herman, players can compete directly against another player or compete against a group of players with scores and rankings provided after each hit.

For pitching and throwing, Herman prompts the player through drills with pre-determined number of pitches or throws. The score for each pitch or throw is higher the more powerful the impact and the closer the impact is to the sensor. Herman records the number of pitches, the strongest pitch,, the average strength of each pitch, and the total score for each drill. This process can be repeated for different types of pitches.  Plus, the sensor can be repositioned to reward pitching accuracy.

For players of all ages and all skill levels, Herman provides a valuable training partner and coach with his simple to complex drills, and immediate, objective feedback. Players can compete against themselves as well as others and have a whole lot of fun in the process.
