Interactive martial arts training equipment

Karate. Jiu-jitsu. Tae kwon do. Kung Fu. To succeed in these disciplines requires time, energy, discipline, and the right martial arts training equipment. That's where Herman comes in! Training takes on a whole new dimension with immediate feedback, customized workouts, and personal record keeping. Power, speed and technique are crucial aspects of all styles of martial arts. Training equipment and techniques vary, but these three variables are integral to each discipline. Herman is a valuable tool for a wide range of applications, including:

  • Baseball
  • Softball
  • Boxing
  • Football
  • Cardiovascular fitness

Still, the fact remains that Hermans's original function was as a tool for martial arts, like karate. Training equipment like focus pads and standing bags become "smart" targets with Herman's help, providing concrete feedback data that can be viewed, stored, manipulated, and even printed out.

Karate training equipment goes hi-tech

Martial Arts Training EquipmentHerman's innovators, Garri Productions, started out in 2003 as a television and video production company. Their first foray into the world of fitness and karate training equipment and instruction was the DVD "Fit to Defend," followed by the patented Herman digital system. Their goal was to create a hi-tech device that would function as an effective training tool, but with a little fun and personality thrown in. They wanted to create a device that would help people improve the quality of their lives through sports and fitness, and have fun at the same time. That's how Herman's creators arrived with the whimsical name-Herman is their favorite real-life training partner. That, and "Bob" or "Joe" just didn't seem to cut it.
